Breakfast Farro with Roasted Fruits & Chestnut Honey
This idea comes from one of our cheesemongers, and we've fallen in love with it.
Ingredients
1 cup Whole Grain Farro from Rustichella d'Abruzzo, cooked and cooled
1 peach, sliced
1 plum, sliced
1 nectarine, sliced
1 tablespoon sugar
1/4-1/2 cup heavy cream or half & half
1-2 tablespoons of honey, like Chestnut Honey from Franca Franzoni
Instructions
Toss the sliced fruit with the sugar and roast in a 350 degree oven for 5 - 10 minutes. Alternatively, you could grill the fruit on a grill pan or outdoors if you're on a camping trip!
Combine the cooked farro and the grilled fruit. Pour in the milk or cream and top with a drizzle of honey. Enjoy!
