Bloody Mary BBQ Sauce

This Kansas City-style barbecue sauce gets a zesty kick from Preservation & Co.'s All-Natural Bloody Mary Mix. Brush it over rich, meaty pork ribs, mop it over melt-in-your-mouth brisket or toss with crispy chicken wings.

Ingredients

1 tablespoon canola oil

1 small onion, diced

1 clove garlic, minced

3/4 cup packed light brown sugar

3/4 cup ketchup

1 1/2 cups All-Natural Bloody Mary Mix from Preservation & Co.

1/2 cup water

2 tablespoons lemon juice

2 teaspoons Dijon mustard

1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

Heat canola oil in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Add the onions and garlic, reduce heat to medium-low and sauté until the onions are soft and translucent, but not browned, about 8-10 minutes.

Add the remaining ingredients, turn the heat down to low and let simmer for 30-35 minutes, stirring occasionally. Taste and adjust seasonings as necessary.

Pour the mixture into a blender or food processor and purée until smooth.
