Words from Mariage Frères tea house: “This full-bodied, British blend is strong on colour and aroma. Serve steaming hot with milk, along with toast and marmalade. For connoisseurs.”
What a discovery! My morning tea has now been elevated to new heights with a cup of this outstanding English Breakfast tea. Having tried hundreds of teas, this is my favorite tea with a classic, yet exquisite flavor and aroma.
I have always been a fan of the French Breakfast tea here and was pleased to find the English Breakfast tea. It's quite good and is right up there with the French and the my all time favorite(though not a MF tea) Irish Breakfast. Great with honey and cream!
I have been a long time fan of The Mariage Freres Teas. The Wedding Imperial is my favorite. Better than coffee for that jump start some of us need in the morning. The English Breakfast tea is not as strong yet does the job just the same. It has a smooth light flavor, wonderful with a little cream and honey. The Wedding Imperial is Bold and in my opinion has a much stronger flavor than the English Breakfast. Both are absolutely delightful if you love tea.
I have loved English Breakfast forever but this tea is so worth the "little bit" of extra money and search to find it. It is smooth and wonderful with whole milk-or half and half-or heavy organic cream-in the morning with a sprinkle of turbinado sugar. Perfection in a teacup.
