Kuali Salsa Macha Clásica

Salsa macha is a spicy chile oil with origins in the Mexican state of Veracruz. Kuali makes their Salsa Macha Clásica by combining Mexican chiles, pepitas (roasted pumpkin seeds), sesame seeds and garlic with grapeseed oil and a touch of single-origin Mexican sea salt. The irresistible smokiness, pleasing crunch and lingering heat makes this a must-have addition for chile crisp and chile oil fans. Salsa Macha Clásica is incredibly versatile, adding savory depth and texture to just about anything, from tacos and fried eggs to pizza and roasted vegetables.

Although based in Oakland, California, Kuali’s roots are in Mexico. Husband and wife duo—Rodrigo Cruz Ayala, originally from Mexico City and Janeen Mendoza Cruz, a first generation Mexican-American—started Kuali in 2020 to bring bold Mexican-style salsa to the United States. Disappointed with the mass-produced salsas available in the U.S, the pair are determined to share the authentic flavors, textures and aromas of salsa macha.
