Rustichella d'Abruzzo Mezzemaniche

Mezzemaniche (meaning "short sleeves" in Italian) is a short, wide ridged tube. It's about as wide as rigatoni, but half the size. Made with durum wheat and mountain spring water, Rustichella d'Abruzzo's mezzemaniche is extruded through bronze dies, giving the pasta its beloved al dente bite and rough exterior (psst, that's the secret to great pasta sauces will cling to).

These ridged rounds are wonderful in soups, pasta salad and baked pasta dishes. Or, toss with your favorite jarred tomato sauce for a quick meal. Cooking time: 10–12 minutes.
