Burlap & Barrel sources this chili from Urfa, Turkey, where it has been harvested and cured for centuries. Its chocolatey, raisin-like and almost smoky notes are the result of the special curing process in which fresh Urfa peppers are laid out to dry in the sun to develop their distinct dark color in addition to their complex flavor. Mildly spicy, Black Urfa Chili lends itself well to all kinds of cooking and mixes well with other spices.
