In this nod to the American backyard pastime, New York Shuk puts their signature Middle Eastern spin on traditional American-style BBQ sauce. Instead of using a tomato or vinegar base, they combine harissa, a North African chile paste made from blistered peppers, with California-grown Medjool dates, honey and preserved lemons for a smoky, sweet and tangy sauce with just the right amount of tongue-tingling heat.
How to use
Use Harissa BBQ Sauce for all of your traditional American barbecue fare, whether it’s slathered over ribs, coated over chicken wings or brushed across a steak. Its sweet-and-smoky flavor also adds depth to chilis and stews and it makes a great dipping sauce for onion rings and French fries.
