Candied Citron Cubes from Agrimontana
This candied citron has floral aroma and sweet, lemony, very slightly bitter flavor. The ingredient list is short and sweet: just citron peel, sugar and glucose.
Candied fruits are a big part of the Italian food culture. These candied citron cubes are ready to toss into rich holiday sweets like fruitcake, stollen and Italian Christmas cakes such as panforte and panettone.
This product is packaged in-house.

I purchased this in search of high quality citron for baking. The ingredient label said, “fruit”, not Citron. Twice I emailed the company for clarification- what fruit? They declined to respond so I assume it is not Citron. Fraud? I checked the ingredients because the flavor was a huge disappointment. No flavor. Beware.
i love the candied fruit from Agrimontana~ no syrups, no artificial colors, actually tastes like the fruit~ what a concept! amazing in my fruitcake and Pandolce Genovese, as well as wheat pie and hot cross buns~ a must have for any citron recipe. thanks so much, Market Hall, for making these products available to USA bakers.
This citron is the best I’ve been able to find. It is worth the splurge of paying more for the shipping than the citron. Maybe Market Hall can package it differently so the shipping cost will be less
This is the real deal. Agrimontana is the best available. I ordered the cubed peels because I was too late in ordering, and the strips were sold out. I recommend ordering the strips. You can control the size (when cutting cubes, they were a bit too thick for what I need them for), and the strips actually taste better, for some reason. I used them in the Easter grain pie, Pastiera Napoletana.
