Bonito del Norte—Albacore tuna from the Cantabrian Sea—is a prized species of tuna, beloved for its firm, meaty texture and clean, rich flavor. Few know this better than Arroyabe, a Basque fishing and canning company with over a century of experience. Packed in olive oil, their tuna is luscious and versatile—equally at home in a simple sandwich, a salad, or tossed with pasta. 

For over a century, Arroyabe has stayed true to traditional fishing and canning methods. Each fish is still caught one by one in the Bay of Biscay using live bait and a single pole, line, and hook—a practice that lets their fishermen handpick only the finest fish while reducing bycatch.
