Indicazione Geografica Protetta (IGP) is a designation protected by the Italian government, similar to designations such as the PDO for Prosciutto di Parma or Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese. These IGP-designated hazelnuts come from the Piedmont region of Italy and are roasted to unlock their rich, toasty flavor.
Italian IGP Hazelnuts are ideal for both savory and sweet applications. Sprinkle over salads, roasted vegetables or pasta coated in browned butter. For dessert, add these hazelnuts to your favorite baked goods, like brownies, chocolate chip cookies and biscotti. Or try grinding these hazelnuts into a gluten-free flour for torta di nocciole (Italian hazelnut cake).

I love hazelnuts. These are the most delicious hazelnuts for snacking I have ever had. They are perfectly toasted and zero bitterness b/c the skin has been removed fully. Good on a cheese plate or just eating a few when I'm hungry.
For baking, I used to try to remove the skins myself but it is a longer process than one would imagine. I love using these for baking. They are fresh and ready to use.
