2022 Harvest of the Classic Tuscan Estate Olive Oil
Tasting notes
This year's Tenuta di Capezzana Extra Virgin Olive Oil is pure elegance. A blend of four Tuscan olive varietals—Frantoio, Leccino, Moraiolo and Pendolino—this Italian olive oil has delicate fruity and herbal aromas of green apple, eucalyptus and chamomile. On the palate you'll find it incredibly clean and redolent of herbs, such as fennel fronds, bay leaves and rosemary. A mild intensity oil.
How to use
This food-friendly olive oil elevates even the simplest of dishes. Drizzle over a plate of citrus segments, sliced tomatoes topped with basil, or steamed Romanesco or cavalo nero (Tuscan kale). Rolando Beramendi, author of Autentico: Cooking Italian, the Authentic Way, loves this olive oil poured liberally over mashed potatoes and topped with crunchy crystals of Maldon Sea Salt.
About the Producer
Filippo Bonacossi, son of the Count Uno and Countess Lisa Contini Bonacossi (owners of Tenuta di Capezzana), supervises the groves of five different olives grown on the estate in Tuscany, while the rest of the family handles the business of running a wine and olive oil estate. We're proud to share with you an extra virgin olive oil that is both from a family operation and one of Italy's premier estates.

I’ve been using this olive oil for years and it’s still my favorite!
This is an olive oil I am tempted to drink in a shot glass. It is so yummy. Sometimes I pour a drizzle on a thin sesame cracker and revel in its lovely flavor.
For introducing me to the pleasures and necessity of high quality olive oil and to Tenuta di Capezzana in particular - truly an outstanding olive oil to be savored and a must have for my pantry along with Seka Hills or Katz for cooking.
Treat yourself to this fine quality olive oil, as a staple in your pantry for salad dressings and special meals. Elegant, easy on the palate and distinctive. Worth the price point.
I am constantly trying new olive oils and I would have to say this is the best one to date. The other oils such as the 2011 Frantoio di Sommaia Extra Virgin Olive Oil, 2011 Titone Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil, and the 2011 Frescobaldi Laudemio Extra Virgin Olive Oil are all great as well but not quite as good in my mind. I love the perfect balance of buttery sweetness with the lingering yet light bite of pepper it finishes with.
