Market Hall Bakery Uncommonly Good Fruitcake

Lots of high quality dried fruit.

This is the cake I remember and love from my childhood in the UK. I buy several every Holiday Season. One request: could you make it organic?

This is a really good fruitcake - devoid of all the over-sugared candied fruits that generic ones have, it tastes really rich (and wasn't just raisins but figs, etc.). However, it was a little dry for my taste - something that you can rectify by sprinkling a little brandy or bourbon on it and rewrapping it. We were disappointed that it took 2 weeks and didn't arrive until after Christmas but it's still quite good.

Too many raisins though moist and flavorful…a bit of a sour aftertaste that was different. I prefer more candied fruit and nuts, with less raisins and a heavier richness. Fun to try, however!

The price tag on it was different than the invoice.
