Korean Fermented Chile Paste

Gochujang (say “go-chew-jong”) is a centuries-old Korean condiment made from fermented soybeans, rice, Korean red chile, salt and sugar. Think Korean ketchup. This peppery paste packs a powerful punch of umami and tongue-tingling heat with just a touch of sweetness. What makes Mother-in-Law's gochujang pastes even more delectable is that they are made with all non-GMO ingredients, no corn syrup and no MSG.

Mother-in-Law's Kimchi Traditional Gochujang Chile Paste’s thick miso paste-like consistency makes it ideal for cooking. Just a spoonful of this medium-hot paste gives a zesty kick to summer favorites like deviled eggs, coleslaw, potato salad and BBQ chicken. Make an easy marinade for grilled chicken by mixing a couple tablespoons of Gochujang with minced garlic, soy sauce and chopped cilantro. Thin with a little bit of water, slather over chicken and marinate for an hour before hitting the grill.
