Tirrena is the dried pasta line from the renowned Tuscan estate Frescobaldi. The Frescobaldi family has been making wine and olive oil in Tuscany since the Renaissance. In the 1980s, the family formed a consortium of olive oil producers and today manages 11,000 acres of land in Tuscany devoted to olive orchards, vineyards and wheat fields. As the leader of the consortium, Frescobaldi emphasizes the concept of terroir which allows the unique environmental conditions of Tuscany to inform every decision in the production process, from which crops to grow to how to transform them into top-shelf pantry staples.
