A medium to robust extra virgin olive oil, Séka Hills is fruity and pungent with notes of cinnamon, green almond and a pleasant tickle of black pepper in the finish.
How to use
Use Séka Hills Arbequina Extra Virgin Olive Oil for sautéing, frying, or finishing. Ideal for vinaigrettes, pasta, mashed potatoes, or to finish grilled vegetables. Try using it to fry your eggs in the morning. Plus, this estate-made oil is great dipping oil with dukkah or other spices.
About the Producer
Yocha Dehe Wintun Nation, a federally recognized sovereign nation, has embraced the ancient Mediterranean tradition of growing olives and is using the most modern methods to produce remarkable California certified extra virgin olive oil. The Yocha Dehe named the oil Séka Hills after the blue hills where they farm in the Capay Valley. In addition to its successful Cache Creek casino operations, the Tribe sustainably manages more than 15,000 acres with more than a dozen crops, partners with organic growers, and grazes a growing herd of 600 cattle on tribal rangeland. The Séka Hills operation uses Super High Density plantings in the Arbequina groves, mechanical harvesting, and mills onsite at its custom-built Alfa Laval mill.
