A unique candied fruit from France, these thick, tender melon slices melt on the tongue with subtle floral flavor and a hint of cantaloupe in the aftertaste. Commonly used in Italian Christmas cakes such as panforte and panettone, candied melon is also an essential ingredient in calissons, the glazed marzipan-esque confection from Provence. Made without any colorants, these fat melon slices naturally have a pretty, translucent orange hue.
This product is packaged in-house. There are typically two slices per half-pound package.
