Jason Poole and Brad Peters—a.k.a. “brine bosses” of Sacramento and founders of Preservation & Co—originally created their award-winning Bloody Mary Mix for a local restaurant who wanted a good-quality cocktail mix that they could serve straight out of the jar.
For their Bloody Mary Mix, the duo starts with the classic bloody mary ingredients—tomato juice, Worcestershire sauce, horseradish and hot sauce (their homemade sriracha)—and turns up the flavor with peppery pickle brine, lemon juice, capers, Dijon mustard. A finishing touch of balsamic vinegar rounds out the cocktail mix and adds a hint of sweetness. Plus, their Bloody Mary Mix is preservative-free, gluten-free and vegan, so everyone can enjoy it!
Just add vodka and your favorite garnishes—we love skewers of pickled vegetables and spicy hot cherry peppers—and you’ve got yourself the perfect brunch cocktail.
