This method results in a more supple, fresh-tasting candied fruit and maintains the berries' inherent juicy plumpness. And, bonus: no additives, colorings or preservatives.

How to use
These Italian semi-candied berries are a wonderful addition to both sweet and savory dishes. Use straight out of the jar and spoon over vanilla gelato, panna cotta or cheesecake. Pariani's candied berries are also lovely swirled into the batter of a polenta cake or this Orange-Scented Olive Oil Cake. On the savory side—add a couple spoonfuls to pan sauces for pork and wild game like duck or quail.

About the producer
Mattia Pariani’s love affair with hazelnuts began during his studies at the University of Torino, where his thesis on hazelnut oil won the National Innovation Prize. Not content with scholarly writing and research, the nut nut began extracting and bottling his own oils from the finest Piemontese hazelnuts and quickly gained a reputation as the ultimate artisan producer of Italian nut oils. Mattia’s passion is evident in all of the Pariani products, which range from that exquisite hazelnut oil to nut pastes and flours, as well as decadent torrone.
