From coastal Georgia, we think this is one of the best honeys in the US. The Tupelo Tree flowers for a very short time each year and it is within this small window of opportunity that the honey is produced. This variety of honey has a lot of interesting characteristics, one of which is its unique structure. It never crystallizes so you've always got a smooth honey when you need it. It's incredible flavor is mellow and sweet with a buttery texture. The small jar has a piece of comb inside the jar for further enjoyment. The tall bottle makes a spectacular a dramatic gift.
Due to seasonality, the comb inside the jar will not always be Tupelo, but the honey itself will always be Tupelo honey. The jar has been changed accordingly, to read "Raw Honeycomb Honey".

This honey is wonderful! It never crystalizes. It's flavorful enough to use as a topping for toast, yet mild enough to use in baking (or as a topping for vanilla ice cream!)

I make my own yogurt with honey and milk, and I've used scores of brands and types of honey over the years, but Savannah Bee's Tupelo is the one to which I keep coming back. The taste is smooth and mellow, and I love the fact that the honey doesn't crystallize. I don't have to store it upside down or bathe it in hot water to ensure its flow. And although it's unnecessary, the tall fluted bottle keeps the edges clean and gives the stuff an elegant look on the shelf.
