Sinking your teeth into these chewy, sumptous cookies is an experience like no other. Traditionally prepared at Christmas time in Siena, Ricciarelli date back to the days of the Renaissance. Market Hall Bakery's pastry chefs create these little jewels every morning. Made simply with natural almond paste, these sweet treats make a sublime ending to a meal with a glass of Vin Santo or a steaming cup of espresso.
You'll receive one dozen freshly-baked Ricciarelli with each order. Our extensive testing, (or tasting!), reveals that these cookies are best eaten within about 10 days. Gluten-free.

I have been to Sienna and tasted the ricciarelli there and have also had friends bring them back from visits to Italy. I have never come across this cookie without orange or lemon in them as that is just an important flavor in the cookie as the almond. While the texture and the almond is good here, it was a disappointment overall due to lack of citrus flavor.

The first time I tried these cookies, I fell in love. So delicious, I was sad when I finished the box. The next time I ordered I made sure to get two boxes! It's also a great gift- my friends and family love when I get them a box!

This is not crisp Cookie. It is a substantial smooth almond experience packed into a small bite.

Lovely, delicate flavor and nice texture. It takes real restraint not to eat all of these in one sitting!
