Marrons Glaces are extremely labor-intensive - candying a chestnut just isn't easy. But Venchi has perfected the process and the result is insanely delicious. The process inevitably produces some less-than-perfect chestnuts...the pepite de marrons glaces, or broken iced chestnuts. These are ideal for baking or any situation where one might chop the whole chestnuts into pieces. The whole ones are so beautiful and fragile that they are individually packed.
The whole chestnuts are packed 10 to a box and the pepite de marrons glaces are in a 350 gram pouch.
