This tea does not shy away from the strong backbone that distinguishes English Breakfast Tea. This full bodied tea has a strong aroma, deep color, and intense flavor. Traditionally served with steaming hot milk, crispy toast, and bitter marmalade for an experience to transport you to the Thames.
Since 1854, Mariage Frères has been sourcing and blending the worlds' finest teas. And their history goes back even further, to the 1600s in fact, when their ancestors began sailing to distant lands in search of new and exotic flavors. For 150 years, their teas have been brewed at the worlds' finest restaurants, hotels and teahouses.

I have been a long time fan of The Mariage Freres Teas. The Wedding Imperial is my favorite. Better than coffee for that jump start some of us need in the morning. The English Breakfast tea is not as strong yet does the job just the same. It has a smooth light flavor, wonderful with a little cream and honey. The Wedding Imperial is Bold and in my opinion has a much stronger flavor than the English Breakfast. Both are absolutely delightful if you love tea.

I have loved English Breakfast forever but this tea is so worth the "little bit" of extra money and search to find it. It is smooth and wonderful with whole milk-or half and half-or heavy organic cream-in the morning with a sprinkle of turbinado sugar. Perfection in a teacup.
