An unfair reputation since it's not the cherry that will shorten your life, but the junk with which they fill the cherry to obtain that awe-inspiring red color! We have made it our mission to uncover the greatness of the original, the unadulterated, the clean Marasca cherry - a variety grown in Padova that has a vibrant, tart flavor that lies somewhere between our tart and sweet cherries. The nice folks at Luxardo, who specialize in liquers and grappa, have made this wonderful confettura of marasca cherries and a bit of sugar. The jar boasts an astounding 170% fruit content per jar! How's it possible to put more fruit in the jar than will even fit? Well they take 170 grams of cherries and make 100 grams of confettura!

Use it to top ice cream, cakes, toasted bread, roasted pork or duck, or a spoon that will find its way to your mouth!
