If you've shopped with us lately, you've no doubt heard of Gangi Dante - they are the producer of our Organic Oregano and our Peperoncino Franto - both wildly popular and stellar examples of the craftsmanship that goes into drying herbs that don't taste...well, dried!
The uses here are many, but the idea is to create one of Italy's quickest pasta dishes - even quicker! Starting in a cold pan, heat a good amount of extra virgin olive oil in a large pan - say 3 tablespoons per person - and a tablespoon of the herb mix and bring to a sizzle. Do all of this while your pasta is cooking. When the pasta is ready, toss a little of the pasta cooking water into the pan, swirl to combine and add the pasta directly to the pan. Toss quickly and serve. (This wouldn't be topped with cheese in Italy, but who're we to tell you how to eat your pasta!)
This can be adapted endlessly - make this herbaceous and spicy oil and add it to tomato sauces, soups, stews or braises. Melt anchovies into the mix for a deeper flavor. Add more garlic or chile for an even bolder finished dish.

After reading the description I sought this product out at the store. I was alarmed by the price but was determined. I'm so glad I bought it! Makes any pasta dish amazing. Last night we used it with the cheese ravioli from pasta shop and roasted cherry tomatoes- note that has a subtle bite to it (which we love).
