There's no other way to say it...we're addicted to Dukkah. If you've never tried this delicious blend of hazelnuts & pistachios, cumin, coriander & toasted sesame seeds, you're really missing out. It originated in Egypt & Morocco, but it's the Australians who've really embraced the tradition of dunking bread, either pita or sliced baguette, into extra virgin olive oil then into the Dukkah. The resulting mouthful is chewy and flavorful and a great way to kick off a dinner party or gathering. It also makes a great seasoning for all types of meats.
You could certainly use any olive oil for your pre-Dukkah dip, but something with a fresh, vegetal flavor would only enchance the experience.
This pouch is enough for at least 3 - 4 "sessions" of dukkah-ing.
