Some decorative ingredients, like those silly silver balls, have no flavor and in our minds, don't really bring anything exciting to your cakes. But these candied violet petals have a wonderfully bright, vivacious floral flavor. Even the simplest cream cheese frosting sings with the addition of these purple adornments.
There are 175 - 200 petals in one-eighth of a pound.
Candiflor has been candying flowers in Toulouse, France since 1818. It's a testament to the difficulty of the process that they remain essentially the sole producer of these ancient delicacies. The flowers are all-natural and pesticide-free.
These flowers are a natural product, and while many of them are whole and beautiful, each package will also contain those that are less than perfect. If you’re planning a special event, we recommend ordering more than you need so you can pick and choose the most beautiful flowers.
Ingredients: sugar, natural flowers, acacia gum, natural flavor, FD&C blue #2, cochineal extract.

My sister-in-law introduced me to these heavenly petals by dropping them into a glass of champagne! The essence of violet and the lavender color make it beautiful and much more enjoyable than a plain glass of champagne. This is a complete treat!

I got these to put on cupcakes and sugarcubes for my daughter's bridal shower, and the results were spectacular! The flavor is sweet, but delicate, not too overpowering. I would suggest using these on vanilla or lemon-flavored cakes/cupcakes for a lovely, old-fashioned and unique touch.
