Candied Rose Petals

SOLD OUT - please contact us if you would like to be notified when this item returns info@markethallfoods.com

Fresh red roses are harvested and allowed to dry slightly. Then the petals are plucked from the flower and poached very gently in a sugar syrup numerous times. This locks the simple and aromatic flavor into the flower while maintaining the bright color and perfume. Finally, the petals are coated in sugar and allowed to dry completely.

These are full-size rose petals. Each petal is about the size of a quarter. There are approximately 10 - 15 rose petals per 2 ounce package.

Candiflor has been candying flowers in Toulouse, France since 1818. It's a testament to the difficulty of the process that they remain essentially the sole producer of these ancient delicacies. The flowers are all-natural and pesticide-free.

These flowers are a natural product, and while many of them are whole and beautiful, each package will also contain those that are less than perfect.  If you’re planning a special event, we recommend ordering more than you need so you can pick and choose the most beautiful flowers.

Ingredients: sugar, natural flowers, acacia gum, natural flavor, cochineal extract.

  1. Heavenly!

Posted by Susan Clements on 6th Aug 2012

My sister-in-law introduced me to these heavenly petals by dropping them into a glass of champagne! The essence of rose and the light pink color make it beautiful and much more enjoyable than a plain glass of champagne. This is a complete treat!

  2. Beautiful and Delicious

Posted by Melanie on 12th Oct 2010

These candied roses are perfect for decorating elegant cakes or chocolates. They are crunchy, sweet, and not too flowery in taste.

  3. Flowers to eat

Again excellent! I love eating flowers. They are beautiful on the outside and the Inside too.
