Mass production of balsamic vinegars in Italy has led wily producers to take short cuts, such as coloring and thickening agents, to attempt replication of a genuine product. Acetaia Leonardi's 5 Year Balsamic is an authentic product, produced in the traditional manner, with no additives. The 5 Year Balsamic has nice body with a fruity, winey flavor. Try drizzling over warm, freshly roasted beets for a decadent side dish.

You need very little. Sweeter than traditional balsamic.

We loved this Balsamico; my gourmet cook children are requesting it as a gift. It's full-bodied, without the bite you often get with Balsamics. Wonderful to dress a salad or vegetable, though I recently loved it in lentil soup. I'll be ordering again.
