About the Producer: Yocha Dehe Wintun Nation, a federally recognized sovereign nation, has embraced the ancient Mediterranean tradition of growing olives and is using the most modern methods to produce remarkable California certified extra virgin olive oil. The Yocha Dehe named the oil Séka Hills after the Blue Hills where they farm in the Capay Valley. In addition to its successful Cache Creek casino operations, the Tribe sustainably manages more than 7,300 acres with more than a dozen crops, partners with two organic growers, and grazes a growing herd of 120 cattle on tribal rangeland. The Séka Hills operation uses Super High Density plantings in the groves, mechanical harvesting, and has built a state-of the-art mill.
